Design of an Adaptive Algorithm for Feeding Volume–Traveling Speed Coupling Systems of Rice Harvesters in Southern China

We developed an adaptive algorithm to reduce rice loss in harvesting, promote threshing and improve the quality efficiency of small- medium-sized harvesters operating southern China’s hilly mountainous areas. Using a fuzzy PID control algorithm, harvester adapts harvesting conditions China, monitors feed volume changes instantly adjust traveling speed optimize levels quality. compared analyzed traditional regulation effect simulation experiment. The had quicker response stable accuracy. In field trial, average error rate was 3.4%, maximum 5.1%, with most data points centered around ideal feeding 3.2 kg/s. Our results showed that algorithm’s stability, accuracy, real-time performance met reduction requirements operations.
